Sale of Garsington Pews

We have now received a Faculty from the Registrar of the Diocese to remove 16 pews (those identified by our church architect to be unsuitable for repair) from the church.  This will enable us to use the space at the back of the nave more flexibly and to improve storage facilities.

We will be arranging to sell the sixteen pews, and we are accordingly arranging to have the pews valued: they vary in length between 1.5 and 2.7 metres.  We are aware that members of the congregation and village residents may wish to buy one.  As soon as we have had them valued, we will make arrangements for those wishing to buy one.  Please let Robin Frazer, Martha Griffiths or John Hall know if you wish to do so.

John Hall, Churchwarden.
