We are very pleased to announce the appointment of Reverend Karen Charman as our new vicar of Garsington, Cuddesdon and Horspath. Karen is making preparations to leave her current parish of Delaval, Newcastle before joining us in early 2020. Karen’s licensing will take place on Monday 27th January at 7.30pm at All Saints’ Church, Cuddesdon. All are welcome to come along to this happy occasion. We pray for Karen and her husband, Martin, as they make preparations to join us in the new year and for all those they leave behind in Newcastle.
“I am delighted that I shall be joining you as Vicar of the Benefice of Garsington, Cuddesdon and Horspath; and I am really looking forward to getting to know you and to walking with you in our shared pilgrimage of faith, as we seek to share the Good News of God’s love with all those who live, work, or attend school or college, in the Benefice.
I thoroughly enjoyed living and worshiping in the Benefice while I trained at Ripon College Cuddesdon from 2014 to 2016, and particularly enjoyed visiting all three churches whilst serving as church sacristan for a year.
Martin and I are excited that we will be moving back to this beautiful part of Oxfordshire, and look forward to joining you early in 2020.
Meanwhile, you are all in my thoughts and prayers; and I hope that you will pray for Martin and me as we prepare to join you. God bless.” Karen
