Congratulations to Mrs Coleman and the staff, pupils and governors of Horspath School who received a good report from the inspectors in their recent Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) inspection. The full report is given below and celebrates the extent to which Christian values underpin the daily life of the school and the positive impact this has on the pupils’ well being, academic and personal development The close and valued links with St Giles’ were commended as was the part the Vicar played in collective worship and pastoral support of the school family.
Areas for improving included: more effective monitoring of collective worship, strengthening the pupils’ understanding of Christianity as a world religion and an enhanced incorporation of the school’s Christian vision into the school development plan.
