Those of you who have passed by St. Giles’ Church in Horspath recently will have seen its latest improvement in the form of a new notice board that overlooks Church Road. The oak framed and cedar backed board was paid for using some of the legacy left to St. Giles’ Church by Enid Gomm in her Will. A brass plaque is included on the board with an inscription in memory of Enid who loyally served on the Horspath Parochial Church Council as secretary for 49 years until her death in 2014. Enid was a character who will always be remembered with fondness by those who knew her as a friend and a PCC colleague.
